Usheropened up about his secret nuptials for the first time to longtime girlfriend, Grace Miguel, Friday, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
DeGeneres congratulated the 37-year-old hit-maker on his elopement that happened earlier this year; Usher revealed him and Miguel tied the knot in Cuba in September. They began dating in 2009 following his divorce from his ex-wife, Tameka Foster.
Rumors about the couple’s elopement circulated after Usher posted a photo of the two wearing gold bands on Instagram.
“You know what’s funny?” he asked Ellen, while pointing to an enlarged version of the image on a screen. “We put this picture up and we were actually just in Cuba on a cultural exchange and people were like, ‘Hey, they got married.’ But you know, the ring is on the other finger, you guys. But we had a great time. [Grace is a] wonderful woman.”
DeGeneres also prompted the artist to tell fans what’s in store for him musically. His last album, Looking For Myself, came out in 2012.
"Buffering," Usher joked. "The clock is ticking ... it's coming next year. Definitely next year."
We're hoping for more of his R&B crooning stat.
Congrats, Usher!
