I made a lot of wedding decisions without my groom. I don’t think he knew about our napkin color or the pattern on the mat beneath our centerpieces ahead of time. (Because I knew he wouldn’t care.) And he definitely had no clue what my wedding shoes would look like. But now I wish I had let him get his hands on my wedding shoes before the big day. Here’s why:
“We are the lucky ones.” Bah! How amazingly sweet is that? I like that there’s a limited amount of space on the bottom of a shoe (especially my 5.5’s), so a groom wouldn’t feel pressure to write a dissertation—it’s just a sweet way to get a short love note to the bride pre-wedding. So perfect.
