Before they embarked on their three-week tour of Australia and New Zealand, it seems Prince William presented his bride with a three-year wedding-anniversary gift. (Their actual anniversary is tomorrow. Here's their real royal wedding album, if you're feeling nostalgic!) If you look closely at Kate Middleton's wrist throughout the tour {Because that's not stalker-y at all. }, almost every day she was spotted wearing a Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch.
Hollywood Life is reporting that William gifted this particular watch to his bride because the winding mechanism features a cabochon sapphire, which of course matches her sapphire engagement ring, which previously belonged to his mother.
The traditional three-year anniversary gift in both the U.S. and the U.K. is leather, but I'd have no problem making an exception for this.
