This year's Boston Marathon was filled with emotion—joy, triumph, inspiration, celebration—and, for at least a few couples, the event was especially memorable.

Greg Picklesimer ran the Boston Marathon last year, and he says when the bombs went off, life was quickly put into perspective: "After last year I realized the people you love and your life can be taken so quickly. ... I didn’t want to lose that so I decided to come back and seal the deal." So, this year, he had an engagement ring in his back pocket during the race—and when he spotted his girlfriend, Carla White, at the finish line, he dropped to one knee and proposed. And there are still more people who popped the question yesterday! Tom Louden proposed to his girlfriend, Mary; after running his 16th Boston Marathon, John Duncan asked girlfriend Jody Nili to marry him.

Super sweet. What do you think?
