I'm always a huge ball of nerves going into a photo shoot. I assume the models won't show or the makeup artist will get lost or someone will trip and dump her latte on a rack of dresses. But I'm happy to report that none of that happened yesterday, and our shoot with real brides modeling Watters and Wtoowedding dresses went off without a hitch. I'll have the official photos—with tons of dresses and accessories and hair and makeup close-ups—next week, but I'm so excited I just HAD to share some behind-the-scenes shots!
I put this pic of real bride Katie on Glamour's Instagram last night. When I woke up this morning, it had almost 9,000 likes!
This real bride is Tonya, who's a lightweight body builder—hence those AWESOME arms!
And here's Rachel, who's getting married in two weeks (!!) and says her prewedding "workouts" have consisted of going to the gym once every other week. Hey, it's TOTALLY working for her!
Oh, and that backdrop is an actual wedding dress boutique, Lovely Bride. It had just moved into its new Duane Street digs in NYC the day before! There are also Lovely Brides in L.A., Philadelphia, and D.C. If you're in any of those areas, I highly recommend checking 'em out! (The NYC shop is breathtaking.
