Plenty of celebrities scored gorgeous engagement rings this year, but whose is the most gorgeous? We narrowed the field down to the seven sparklers—a surprising three have Dancing With the Stars connections—that we’re still swooning over, starting with our favorite:
Julianne Hough
The Dancing With the Stars judge and NHL center Brooks Laich announced their engagement on Instagram in August. Julianne’s Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring—an oval-cut diamond on a thin diamond band—reminds us of another celebrity engagement ring we adore.
All we’ve seen of Eva Longoria’s engagement ring so far is this kind-of blurry shot from when she announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Jose Antonio Baston via Instagram earlier this month. It appears to be a ruby in a halo setting—but whatever it’s we love it. (The only other ruby engagement ring that comes to mind from the past decade or so is the ruby-and-diamond engagement ring Eric Johnson gave Jessica Simpson in 2010.)

Dancing With the Stars pro Witney Carson’s race to the alter started in October, when she announced her engagement to her hometown boyfriend of four years, Carson Mcallister. In the two months since then, she’s had her engagement shoot, ordered her wedding invitations, picked her wedding dress, celebrated her bachelorette party, and had her wedding makeup trial. Whew! At this rate, she’ll have a new wedding ring to pair with her Rocky Mountain Diamond Companyengagement ring (an oval stone in a thick halo all set in rose gold) any day now.
Emmy Rossum
It doesn’t get more timeless than this: Shameless star Emmy Rossum said yes to a round-cut diamond flanked by tapered baguettes—and a proposal from Sam Esmail, the creator of USA’s buzzy breakout hit Mr. Robot, in September. The engagement came after two years of dating.
Jaimie Alexander
Nine months have passed since Jaimie Alexander and Peter Facinelli announced their engagement—but we still don’t know the secret message Peter had engraved in the engagement ring, which he custom-designed with his brother-in-law. What we do know: The ring features a round diamond in a cushion-shaped halo with more diamonds on the band.
Peta Murgatroyd
Something’s in the water at the Dancing With the Stars fountain: Peta Murgatroyd was the third person affiliated with the show (after Julianne and Witney) to get a proposal this year—when she said “Yes!” was to Maksim Chmerkovskiy (also of DWTS fame) earlier this month. Her engagement ring features an emerald-cut diamond on a hefty split-shank setting flecked with probably at least 100 pave diamonds.
