11 Anti-"Bridesmaid Dresses" That Will Match Your Palette and Flatter Your Friends

If you don’t want your bridesmaids to look like, well, a bunch of bridesmaids, then don’t put them in bridesmaid dresses. Instead, look for off-the-rack dresses that match without looking matchy-matchy. One new label we like for the task: Likely.

The colors and patterns feel fresher than what you’d find a bridal store, the silhouettes feel edgier—and there isn’t a stitch of satin or single butt bow in the bunch. Check out our favorites:

These dresses are from Likely’s spring 2016 collection, which launches at the end of January and will be available at Bloomingdale’s, Saks, Shopbop, and Nordstrom, among other stores. Obviously not every dress will work for every bridesmaid or every wedding. (Some mamas aren’t going to want to see your bridesmaids’ rib cages—while others might be fine with it.) But the collection is so endlessly mix-and-matchable that there’s something in there for almost any ’maid. Or wedding guest.
