If your wedding isn’t Instagram-perfect, we’re pretty sure your vows don’t count. OK, not really. But it would be a shame to let your big day pass without documenting it on social media. And we don’t mean the blurry ceremony shot your spiteful cousin’s going to share on Facebook—despite your request for phone-free vows.
Enter New York-based concierge service Maid of Social, which will send a social media strategist to your wedding to post on Instagram and Snapchat, live-tweet your first dance, and update your Facebook relationship status to “married.” And if Grandma can’t make it to your nuptials, she can watch you cut the cake in real time via Periscope live-stream.
“We work with the couple ahead of time to make sure that we’re in the loop with everything happening on the actual wedding day,” cofounder Samantha Roberts told New York magazine. “This includes tagging vendors to make sure they’re properly credited and helping take photos for the bridal party. That means you'll have someone on hand specifically to take those non-selfie shots of you and 20 other friends, without hassling the hired shooter.” Customizable packages start at $1,200, but you can’t really put a price on all those likes.
