Rather than be rushed by paparazzi on her way down the aisle, Girls star Allison Williams had a decoy wedding site set up to lure the press away from her nuptials, Page Six is reporting. The actress swapped vows with College Humor founder Ricky Van Veen at Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga last Saturday. The decoy wedding was set up at a nearby location in Wyoming.
As we previously reported, guests were simply asked to fly into Denver, and the bride and groom arranged for transport from there to the undisclosed location.
In other new news from their big day, the event was reportedly orchestrated by Rafanelli Events, which planned both Chelsea Clinton and Matt Damon’s nuptials. (The planning company orchestrated the actual wedding and the decoy one.) Tom Hanks officiated the ceremony after the bride was walked down the aisle by her father, news anchor Brian Williams.
