So! This is apparently a thing!
Chandra Fredrick of wedding blog Oh Lovely Dayrevealed to the Huffington Post that she and her husband didn't want until the end of the night on their wedding day to have some fun:
"[My husband and I] went back to our room to change our wedding clothes and had a fun, spontaneous quickie.... And then went back out and met our family and friends and continued the celebration."
Now, an earlier version of her story made it seem as if she and her husband had done the deed before even getting to the reception—but it turns out that by "continuing the celebration," she meant just going out with everyone later informally.
But! When I was emailing about this topic with the Glamour.com team, they said that they actually knew of lots of brides and grooms that have snuck off at some point during the ceremony or reception to engage in a little bit of, um, "no longer just engaged" good times.
OK, so, I have many questions about this:
* How do they do it? I mean, not how do they do it, but logistically—how do you pull something like that off?
* What about the hair and makeup? Is it wrong to wonder about that?
* This sounds a little stodgy, but etiquette-wise—is it appropriate to do?
* And if it's not, does it even matter?
So curious! If it was your wedding, would you ever sneak away in the middle for a sex break? And do you have any thoughts on the questions above?
