When actress/fashionista/blogger Jamie Chung is the bride being feted, you’d better believe the bridal shower is going to be a fabulous affair. And it was. With the help of celebrity wedding plannerMindy Weiss—recently the brains behind both Jessica and Ashlee Simpson’s weddings—Jamie’s best friends threw an intimate, garden party shower at the petite Jon & Vinny’s Italian in Los Angeles over the weekend. (Jon and Vinny are the chefs behind other L.A. foodie favorites, including Animal and Son of a Gun, but since the bride’s favorite food is pizza, their Italian outpost only made sense.) Reflecting the couple’s joyous relationship, the shower logo was J + B = Happy, which appeared throughout. Wedding Paper Divas’ Fresh & Bright design was used for the invitations,and the brand’s Lovely Garland design appeared on place mats, menus, and acrylic blocks featuring fun facts about the couple that were scattered about the decor.
“Bringing the outdoors in is one of this year’s biggest trends,” said Mindy. “Using gorgeous florals with hanging seeded eucalyptus, ivy and orchids brought nature-inspired elements to life in this hip, minimalist space—something anyone can do with a little bit of imagination.”
