George Clooney and His Golden Globes Tux Prove It’s SO Much Easier to Be the Groom

I read somewhere that on Saturday night, Amal Clooney was playing dress-up at home, jumping in and out of probably the most gorgeous gowns in the world before settling on Dior for last night’s Golden Globes. And George Clooney was watching sports.

Of course he was. George Clooney didn’t need to sweat his Golden Globes look, because George Clooney has worn an Armani tux on every single red carpet since the beginning of time. (Seriously. Google image search “george clooney tuxedo.”) In fact, he didn’t even pick a NEW Armani tuxedo for the Golden Globes—he wore his wedding tux.

I mean, I give the man credit for being resourceful. And not adding to his never-ending collection of Armani tuxes when clearly he had plenty to pick from. But it’s kind of infuriating that a groom gets to wear the same thing to, say, a wedding or a red carpet event. And if your groom opts for a suit instead of a tux, he can wear that to other people’s weddings, funerals, and job interviews, too. Infuriating!

Will you ever get to wear your wedding dress again? Are you a teeny bit resentful that your groom will get endless re-wears? Just a teeny bit?
