Maybe you’re on the brink of getting engaged but don’t want to make a high-pressure trip to the jeweler. Or maybe you’re single with a bad case of ring finger FOMO. Regardless of why you want to try on engagement rings, it’s SO easy to try on thousands of ’em from the comfort of your living room with the Dream Box feature on the Blue Nile app.
Here’s how it works: You take a picture of your hand, then you drag, pinch, and rotate a picture of an actual engagement ring until it looks as though the ring is on your finger.
Then you tap the Shake button (on the upper left corner of your screen—you can also shake you’re phone, but you’ll look like a maniac if you’re in public) and a new engagement ring appears on your virtual finger. Below the picture you get the details on the current setting and the diamond’s stats (4 C’s, plus price) so you know exactly how to get the ring that’s pictured.
And you can keep hitting Shake until you’re sick of trying on engagement rings. Or until you have to eat or sleep. Whichever comes first.
